As an eight year-old growing up in New York City, Dr. Colley spent six consecutive summers at an Amish farm in Lebanon, PA. The Fresh Air Fund Program enabled city kids to get away from the hot, noisy streets.
While country living broadened his cross-cultural experiences and gave him a “heart” for farming, it was a summer project with Operation Crossroads Africa that enabled him to make a life changing broad jump.
This broad jump led him to study agriculture at Michigan State University. Seven Harvest, (SH) Inc. was formed after his international work in West, East and Southern Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia.
